Get into the festive spirit with BH Live’s free annual Christmas Cracker Carol Concert taking place at Bournemouth Pavilion on Wednesday 18 December 2024 at 2:30pm.
The Christmas Cracker event was first staged in 2002 and has since become an annual performance enjoyed by many in the local community.
Michael Wooldridge returns at the theatre’s Compton Organ. He will be accompanied by local musician Ian Carter at the Steinway Grand Piano, as well as members of the Bournemouth and Boscombe Light Opera Company choir.
Visitors will be invited to sing carols and participate in what promises to be fantastic free festive entertainment.
Bournemouth Pavilion is operated by BH Live in partnership with BCP Council. BH Live is a registered charity and social enterprise. The event is not ticketed but forms part of BH Live’s community cultural engagement programme.

“Our annual Christmas Cracker Carol Concert is an accessible way for people to enjoy some festive cheer. It’s also an opportunity to experience the theatre’s iconic Compton Organ,which has been at the heart of the theatre for over 95 years. Our thanks go to everyone who takes part in the delivery of this special annual event.”
Councillor Andy Martin, Portfolio Holder for Customer, Communications and Culture said:
“I’m really pleased to see this free concert return once again to the Pavilion – giving all our residents the chance to enjoy music in this beautiful venue over the festive period.”
Donations (optional) will be accepted and are encouraged on the day – raising money for the continued maintenance of the Pavilion’s Compton Organ Fund to preserve the lifespan of this magnificent historical instrument.
