LOL Comedy Club returns to the Pavilion Ballroom this April with another great line-up of comedians! Join us on Friday 19 April 2024 for a fantastic night of comedy from Leo Kearse, Adam Vincent, Harvey Hawkins and James Dowdeswell (MC). Click here to book tickets.

Leo Kearse

Scottish Comedian of the Year, Leo Kearse,is part of the new wave of raw, bold, American inspired comedians taking the big UK clubs (and the world) by storm, having travelled to Adelaide, Melbourne, Ibiza, Turkey, Holland, Cyprus, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Belarus and Denmark to name a few.

Leo has written for BBC comedy including the The Mash Report, Breaking The News and a Live At The Apollo appearance, and his comedy shorts include a Star Wars spoof video that’s had half a million views, and a “Stand up on the tube” stunt that got him in the Mail and Metro and was shared on Ladbible.

As well as stand-up comedy, Leo also performs at festivals and cabaret nights as the improvising Pun-Man (UK Pun Champion 2015) appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, and isalso the co-creator of sell-out show Hate ‘n’ Live, which has improvising comedians hating on audience suggestions.

He is a straight up absolutely hilarious comedian and as a gigantic force of Celtic nature he’s very much the new Billy Connolly!

Adam Vincent

Twenty years ago at aged 19, Adam Vincent was a fresh child prodigy becoming one of the top acts in Australia. Word quickly spread to the UK and he’s now a well loved joke machine over here too. His talents have even been noticed in the US where he was one of three comics chosen to represent Australia in a the highly prestigious NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

In 2008 Adam produced his critically acclaimed underground hit, Humans Anonymous. With the backing of big TV names such as Adam Hills, Adam has gone on to write and perform a number of other applauded shows around the world including Adamland (2009), Vital Signs (2010) and Dad Feet (2011). Adam’s show, Careless (2015), was acclaimed at both the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and has since morphed into his masterpiece hit show Judgemental.

Aside from his live performances, Adam is also a core writer on Channel 4’s The Last Leg, and was a key player in its BAFTA winning coverage of the Paralympics. The Last Leg was also nominated for Best Comedy Entertainment Program at the British Comedy Awards and many of the jokes you hear on that show have been written by this Aussie genius. His other writing credits include Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer, 15 to 1 and BBC’s Live at The Apollo.

Harvey Hawkins

BBC New Comedy Award nominee, Harvey Hawkins, started performing comedy in 2015, and by the end of 2016 he had won the Birmingham Breaking Talent Award at Birmingham Glee Club, chosen by a panel of judges including comedy legend Jasper Carrott. Now as a more experienced act, he performs comedy all over the country with his “joke heavy” set at some of the biggest independent and weekend clubs.

Harvey has also racked up hundreds of thousands with his highly amusing posts on TikTok and Instagram, earning him a whole new audience.

James Dowdeswell

James Dowdeswell is an imaginative storytelling comedian who combines deft stand-up with daft stories. He has recently featured on BBC’s Russell Howard’s Good News and hasalso appeared in Ricky Gervais’ Extras, The World Stands Up, Edinburgh And Beyond on The Paramount Comedy Channel. He has also starred in the TV sketch show pilot Chaos, short filmRekindle, and is currently is currently filming his own comedy show about wine called James Dowdeswell – Black Belt In Wine.
