Best known for presenting Milkshake! on Channel 5, panto favourite, David Ribi, bounds back to the Bournemouth Pavilion this festive season to take on the role of Jack in Jack & the Beanstalk.
Presenter and musical theatre star, David, will be bringing more festive fun to this year’s spectacular Bournemouth Pavilion pantomime Jack & the Beanstalk as he joins recently announced Corrie bad boy Calum Lill, playing the evil Fleshcreep.
Returning to Bournemouth, David played Peter Pan alongside Shaun Williamson’s Captain Hook in the 2021 Pavilion pantomime. Well known for his role as a presenter for Channel 5’s Milkshake! David has also toured with Hairspray, Dreamboats and Petticoats and internationally as Niall Horan in the Only One Direction tribute act.
David said; “I’m really looking forward to coming back to Bournemouth later this year. The audience was amazing when I was Peter Pan. I’m hoping they will be as much fun, if not more so, when I take on the role of Jack and we go on another adventure together!”
With a huge passion for panto, David joins Bournemouth Pavilion’s favourite funny man, Noel Brodie, who is playing Jack’s cheeky comedy sidekick, Silly Simon.

Jack and the Beanstalk is at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre from Saturday 7 December 2024 to Sunday 5 January 2025. Anyone wanting to climb the beanstalk to pantoland this season but is worried the experience may be too overwhelming, a relaxed performance Tuesday 17 December 2024 at 10.30am, is a perfect alternative. Packed with just as much panto pazazz and stress-free sparkle, it’s a calmer environment with house lights up, no loud bangs, noises or flashing lights.
Furthermore, there is a captioned performance on Sunday 29 December 2024 at 1pm, where dialogue is displayed on a screen throughout. This performance may benefit, those who are, for example, deaf, hard of hearing, neurodivergent or if their first language is not English.
In addition, school panto performances on Tuesday 10, Thursday 12 and Monday 16 December 2024, are great for pupil rewards, class trips and year group outings, discounts are available with more information online.
So, this festive season, expect a wholesome hero, a punch-packing princess, a feisty fairy, a simple sibling, a witty widow, a slippery servant, a kind-hearted king... and a cow with some beef. Oh... and a very large magical beanstalk, of course!
