LOL Comedy Club have been booking Daliso Chaponda for almost a decade now, but you’ll recognise him from placing 3rd in Britain’s Got Talent in 2017 and he’s gone on to amass over 100 million YouTube views, write and star in his critically acclaimed Radio 4 show Citizen of Nowhere, and appear on QI, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, News Quiz and The Now Show.
Not many comedians are a raving success in every continent across the globe but Daliso has breezed to success just about everywhere. Beginning his comedy career in Canada at the prestigious The Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, subsequent appearances including CBC Television’s ‘Trans Canada Comedy Trail’ confirmed his position as Africa’s top comic.
He also received a golden buzzer from Amanda Holden in the 11th series of Britain's Got Talent. She later added “He’s self-deprecating, funny, relevant – laugh after laugh after laugh. It just kept coming. And I really want him to win the entire series. I think he could”.
The 38-year-old comedian from Malawi and won over millions of fans with his cutting remarks about living as an African in Britain.
Daliso shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, and since then, has gone on to great success with his new BBC Radio 4 show Daliso Chaponda: Citizen of Nowhere and last year began his first world tour but LOL Comedy Club have still managed to book him for you, so come and laugh like a drain at one of the globes funniest acts.
“Absolutely took the roof off” The Guardian
“I laughed so much I thought I’d pass out!” The List
Mancunian Mike Newall is regarded by many as having the best hair in the UK comedy scene with a throwback to Oasis in 1990 he’s one for the ladies and the gents too. As a result many are now calling him ‘The Real Magic Mike’.
He most recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent where he impressed the judges so much that Simon Cowell said..it was like an Oasis concert where the music ran out and Liam decides to tell a few jokes!
In 2010 he performed his Edinburgh Fringe Show Mr Famous followed in 2011 with his show Mike Newall’s Get Better Box. That same year he headlined the prestigious Big Value Comedy early show then returned in 2013 with his show Six Weddings.
In 2013 he was personally asked to be the support act for Alun Cochrane’s (Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, 8 Out Of 10 Cats) 2012-2013 Moments of Alun tour.
Fortunately he’s also one of the country’s most consistently reliable comedy storytellers and proud possessor of a breezy, casual style that’s the envy of many of his contemporaries. Frankly we’ve never seen a comedian so laid back and yet packing so much comedic power. Swiss clock timing and that certain knack for a sharp turn of phrase means he is living proof that you can’t learn to be funny, it’s a gift and he has it by the bucket load. Manchester has had more than its fair share of comedy heritage over the years, he is without doubt the latest smooth talking, globetrotting Manc export and could even go on to become the greatest.
Mike has that rare knack of being like the boy the next door but with huge star quality. He’s like your best, most humorous friend – only funnier!
“Is a master of the art of comedy and effortlessly likeable” The List
“Perfectly crafted … Pin sharp, his control is deft and his hair is immaculate.” The Scotsman
Si Deaves is a stand-up comedian from Southend-on-Sea, Essex and has been called ‘one of the greatest undiscovered acts in the country’ and was also described by one of his comedy heroes as ‘great and very original’.
Deaves’ exploration into the weird and wonderful things his mind does, serves as the perfect vehicle for him to exercise his dry, acerbic wit.
Si is a feature on BBC Radio Norfolk’s ‘New Comedy Voices’ show and a featured guest on Essex Radio and Funky SX.
He’s also written for BBC Radio 4’s satire show, Newsjack and he’s also very excited to be currently working on a brand new sitcom.
Luke Honnoraty is living proof that some people were born to be on stage. He combines childish humour with an amazing self awareness and natural stage presence resulting in an infectiously funny set. Luke is such a funny fella he’s a keen favourite amongst comedians on the circuit. As a result of his fast growing reputation as a brilliant act he’s been chosen to support on tour some big names such as Russell Kane and Katherine Ryan.
“I won’t be surprised if I am writing for this guys TV show in the next 5 years – he’s that good” Gary Delaney (BBC2s Mock The Week)
This line up comes to the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom on Saturday 13 January 2024. Click here to book your tickets.
